I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
